Llangrove Leapfrogs Childcare
Registered Charity No: 1036545
Ofsted registered childcare for children aged 18 months to 11 years
Leapfrogs is a community run pre-school and childcare service, registered with Ofsted and managed by an elected committee of parents. Childcare is available for pre-school children and breakfast and after-school care is provided for primary school age children.
We have extensive use of the large village hall in Llangrove which has a well equipped kitchen and new toilet facilities. In addition there is a safe, enclosed and modern play area immediately adjacent to the hall. Our afternoon sessions take place across the road at Llangrove Primary School where we have our own classroom and dedicated outside play area which have been specially designed for pre-school children. We are also able to use the extensive playing fields and wide range of outdoor play equipment at Llangrove School.
We take full advantage of our peaceful, rural surroundings by taking frequent walks and outings to explore the environment. Through a wide variety of play and exploration (and supported by a wealth of equipment and material) pre-school children progress towards the Early Learning Goals of the Foundation Stage.
Primary age children can play and access a wide variety of games/activities whilst attending breakfast or after-school clubs. In addition breakfast and a snack tea are provided if required.
Our Aims
We aim to help children to become confident and sociable through play-based learning in a safe, friendly environment.
Staff
All staff members hold appropriate, recognised qualifications in pre-school childcare and have many years experience of supporting young children.
Manager/Supervisor: Wendy Price (PGCE, NVQ3)
Assistants: Yvonne Wall (Intro PLA), Jenny Bailey (IPP) and
Jackie Ruddock (DPP).
We are supported by our Mentor Teacher, Inclusion Worker and Development Worker from Herefordshire Early Years and Extended Services
Parents
Parents are encouraged to get involved by attending one or two sessions per half-term. Paid help is available if this is not possible.
Fees and NEF Funding
Half-day session: £7.50
Full-day: £17
Lunch-club: £2 (packed lunch to be provided by parents)
Early Birds: £3 or £5 for 2 children
Extended Hours (3 - 6pm): £9
We are registered to claim the Government’s Nursery Education Funding (NEF)
on behalf of those children aged 3 and over. Other fees are due each half-term.
Equal Opportunities
We are very happy to work with parents/carers to support and include children with special needs.
Toileting/Nappies
We welcome all children regardless of whether they are toilet trained and can support them fully in a sensitive and respectful way if they wear nappies or are starting to use the toilet.
Please contact us to arrange a visit or for more information.
